This is a global movement — and you’re part of it!

Dear Reader,

Earlier this month, Barrier Breakers took the stage at the One Young World Summit in Munich, joining leaders from over 190 countries working to address the world's most pressing humanitarian issues. We shared with over 2,000 international delegates and leaders how our work at Barrier Breakers is transforming access to higher education guidance.

The message was clear:
Talent is universal. Access is not.

Around the world — and here in the U.S. — millions of brilliant young people are shut out of opportunity simply because they lack guidance, networks, and support. When students are left to navigate alone, potential is lost, and society loses future innovators, educators, lawyers, and leaders.

Watch our speech from the global stage:

In many countries, only 4% of students from the lowest-income families ever reach higher education.

In the U.S., 54% of college students are first-generation, yet only 24% of them graduate.

When students are forced to navigate alone, brilliance is lost, and society loses future engineers, doctors, educators, lawyers, and leaders.

That is why Barrier Breakers exists — and why your partnership is essential.

This year, we are raising $100,000 to ensure more students receive the support they deserve

Your support makes access real:

💜 $2,400 sponsors a student from 11th grade through college graduation
💜 $1,000 sponsors a student's law school application process
💜 $250 supports three months of admissions advising
💜 $100 funds one year of wellness checks for one student
💜 $25 funds one student's attendance to our virtual conferences

What We're Building Together

Barrier Breakers supports first-generation and low-income students with:

  • 1:1 advising through college and law school admissions
  • Semester check-ins that keep students on track and supported
  • Multi-day virtual conferences that connect thousands of students to universities, scholarships, career opportunities, and resources

And the impact is real:

📍 7,000+ students served
📍 $490M+ in scholarships earned
📍 5,900+ students engaged through our law school conferences
📍 55+ participating law schools every year
📍 3,919 essay drafts reviewed this year
📍 143 wellness check-ins with college students
📍 1,164 students downloaded our free writing courses

These are not numbers — these are futures restored.

This movement needs all of us

Students have the talent.
Students have the determination.
What they need is community.

Will you stand with us to make higher education a right—not a privilege?

Dear Reader, As we head into the final eight days of the year, I wanted to pause and share where we are — and where we’re going. Dear Reader, As we continue our Giving Tuesday campaign, I want to share a story that captures the real impact of your generosity and the difference it makes for first-generation students navigating the college process without a roadmap. Meet Adrian, a senior from a military family whose father and brother have served in the U.S. Army. Growing up in an Army town where friends came and went every few years, Adrian learned early what it means to adapt, persevere, and lead with strength and...
